What is SumRando VPN
Sumrando VPN is a privacy solution offered by Sumrando, a company based in Mauritius. Sumrando VPN has clients for Microsoft Windows and Android. Sumrando has three VPN plans: Anonymous, Free and Platinum. Both the Anonymous and Free plans are free, but they have a monthly cap of 1GB. The Platinum plan costs six dollars a month, and it has no bandwidth caps. The Anonymous plan requires no email registration for use while the Free and Platinum plans need an email address for registration. You can pay for the Platinum plan using Bitcoin, PayPal or credit card.
Sumrando VPN has many features for the privacy conscious user. All the data is encrypted using 128-bit AES encryption. Sumrando has servers in the US allowing one to access US-specific content. Sumrando also offers other products such as Sumrando Web Proxy and Sumrando Messenger. Sumrando Messenger is only available on Android, and it is bundled together with the Android client. - The Free and Anonymous plans do not have access to the US servers
- Sumrando VPN does not support torrents
- Sumrando has been known to suffer downtimes which may last for several hours
- Sumrando VPN does not automatically reconnect after the connection to the server is dropped
